FAQ's

Our Philosophy

JCUHealth strives to deliver high quality individual and family medicine. By offering mixed billing, the choice of General Practitioner, flexible appointments, and a large range of services we aim to meet the needs of our patients.
We have a strong association with James Cook University and from time to time there may be medical students refining their practical skills with our experienced GPs in the practice. We will ask your consent for the students to be present in your consultation.

Results

We ask that you make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your test results.

However, our nurses will endeavour to contact you regarding any significant or concerning results. Results will only be given over the phone if this has been authorized by the doctor and only to the patient or parent of a child under 16 years.

Recalls & Reminders

Our practice offers 'recalls' & 'reminders' for patients to promote continuity of care and to ensure best possible health outcomes.

We use SMS to contact you for proactive reminders and other health information (this does not include results or other private information).

Please ensure that we have your most appropriate and up-to-date contact details listed.

Please inform us if you do not wish to participate.
